Refunds / Returns
Due to facility-specific rules, some books may be refused/rejected. Effective November 1, 2025, the following restocking fee policy applies to items returned to us within 30 days, in its original packaging, undamaged, and with a formal facility rejection slip. 1. Standard Restocking Fee (25%) – A 25% fee will be deducted from the retail price of books that are generally purchased by our customers, to ensure we have a reasonable opportunity to resell the returned items. 2. Special Restocking Fee (50%) – Applies to: Hardcover books; items refused for explicit or adult/sexual content; special-order or non-stock titles; books on specialized or seldom-purchased subjects. The Following Items do NOT qualify for Restocking: Packages marked “No Approval on File” or “Unauthorized Purchase”; Large Print, Coffee Table Books, Collectors or Limited Editions; all Gifts (including Jewelry); Perishable or Personalized items, as well as any items returned in non-resalable condition (damaged, marked, stickered, or missing publisher shrink wrap), or returned after 30 days from the original delivery date. 3. Additional Notes – Restock credit will not be issued for shipping & handling costs. Account credit will be issued after items are received and inspected. We do not issue refunds, but your credit does not expire. Customers should verify facility restrictions before ordering, to promote fair and sustainable operations.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Books N Things has a no return or exchange policy (No substitutions or cancellations).
LOST SHIPMENTS/ORDERS NOT RECEIVED: Package tracking information for FedEx, UPS and USPS is only available for 120 days. If you have not received an order, you must notify us within 90 days to allow ample time for us to investigate the package status. Otherwise, we will not be able to assist you or take any further action on your order.
FLOWER AND GIFT BASKETS: Food items and flowers are perishable and CANNOT be re-stocked for re-sale. Failure to provide the required valid phone number and absence of a signature from the recipient will result in the loss of the entire purchase price.
