Why do we, as humans, seem to spend our time, energy, resources, and emotions on our dogs so easily, and yet we spend much less time, energy, resources, and emotions with God? If God was a dog, would your relationship with God be different?
Come as we describe the characteristics of our own dog, Tucker (boxer), and compare those characteristics to the characteristics of God. Perhaps after our journey together, you will gain a greater appreciation of God and who He is. Perhaps you will view your dog a bit differently, too! As humans, we may think God is distant or angry with us. We may think He doesn’t really care about us, or perhaps only cares about the big things, not the day-to-day events. Or perhaps you know God personally, but maybe you don’t quite understand the purpose of prayer or spending time in His Word. He desires to have a deep relationship with you, just like your dog desires to have a deep relationship with you.
