- to “falling away”
- to joining an ultra-conservative evangelical megachurch
- to becoming Catholic
- back to Methodist
- then Episcopal,
- then to becoming a None,
- along the way being baptized four times
- with his deconstruction being the fifth.
Five Baptisms contains many specific pop culture references of his life in the 80s and 90s, so that many Gen-Xers and older Millennials will be able to make connections to those different aspects.
