Gunner, A Beagle’s Story is first and foremost a story about a senior dog adopted from a shelter at nearly 11 years old. It’s also a story about a dog’s journey with his new family. The novel is told in Gunner’s own words as he “speaks” to the reader, telling you his thoughts about life and with “his person” and the bond they share. The story takes the reader through the emotions of love, loss and ultimately hope, and through it all, the connection Gunner and his person share.
