Sometimes we all just need some space. Teaching a young child about personal space can be a difficult lesson and a life-long journey. As a parent, finding an approach that gets the message across in a engaging and memorable way can be challenging so we combined our love of books and a familiar childhood object to help the message stick. As a mother of a very inquisitive 4-year-old with no boundaries, I wrote this book to get him thinking about his own boundaries and how to respect other’s personal space.
Navigating new people, situations and feelings as a child can be confusing, frustrating and exhausting. While promoting personal reflection and a consideration of others, this book can help children to understand various social situations with the simple illustration of a bubble.
