Jason Wiersma grew up in rural Northwest Iowa. He describes his childhood community as very tight knit and rather sheltered. However, God prepared and sent him into the prison system of South Dakota among diverse people where he has learned much about the brokenness of the world and the power of God’s Grace. Along with his wife Ruth, Jason planted the Living Stone Prison Church in Mike Durfee State Prison in Springfield, SD. He has pastored this congregation since its birth in 2011. Jason enjoys spending time outdoors, especially with his family. He has a strong sense of adventure and loves to see and explore areas of the United States and the world that he’s never been to before. Most of all, Jason’s desire is to witness Jesus continue to save, heal and deliver people from the power of darkness.
