We are constantly bombarded with information. Some of it is useful, but most is not. As the sheer volume of data continues to grow exponentially, we are left with a decreasing amount of time to process it. Given what we are up against, it becomes less likely that we will be able to absorb information in a meaningful way that will lead to fresh thinking and expanded self-awareness. As a result, we will become increasingly reliant on the algorithms provided by artificial intelligence to make choices for us. What do we lose? Insight.
