Two men are kidnapped in Mexico for political purposes in the US. The Smithson Evermore Group in conjunction with federal agencies in Mexico and Canada begin the search and discover the kidnapping is related to an elaborate scheme to alter U.S. policy on immigration and human trafficking. In the course of the investigation, we follow women trafficked into Canada and the U.S. from Asia and Central America through false promises. In the end, the traffickers’ lack of regard for human life results in their identification and capture. It is a wild ride that begins in China, Mexico, and Honduras and ends in upstate New York.
